The website that brings you all
your running news, online, 24/7

08 January 2019

It’s known as one of the greatest marathons in the world, and Run24 will be there to bring you all the coverage of the 2019 Virgin Money London Marathon.
With only 15 weeks to race day on 28 April we will be bringing you all the pre-race news including who’s who at this year’s London Marathon, the inspirational stories of some of the thousands who will be tackling this iconic event as well as the journeys of the South African runners who will be travelling to the UK for this once in a lifetime experience.
Run24’s Editor, Michelle Carnegie, will be heading to London in April to cover this event and will be running the marathon, bringing you a first-hand experience of the 42.2km journey through the streets of London, a city that comes to a standstill on marathon day. Around 40 000 runners are expected at the world largest annual fundraising event.

And on top of this Run24 will be getting up close and personal at press calls in London with the likes of some of the best marathon runners in the world. Sir Mo Farah, who finished third in last year’s race in a British record time of 2:06:21, has confirmed his entry into the 2019 race. Although Eliud Kipchoge, marathon world record holder who won the 2018 event, has not yet confirmed his 2019 entry. Farah has reiterated that he would be honoured to take on the likes of Kipchoge.
